Aesthetically Evaluative
CJ Kanuha
Erupting volcano in Hawaii
This photo shows lava spewing out from the ground. The photo shows the danger of hot lava, but the beauty of it is why it should be categorized as aesthetically evaluative. In the article I read, I learned the photographer risked his life to capture these beautiful photos.

Ethically Evaluative
Elliot Erwitt (Magnum)
"Boy with toy gun." (1950)
This photo is ethically evaluative, because it questions moral issues. The young black boy holds a gun to his head showing his dissatisfaction with life early on. The fact that he has access to a gun in addition to him holding it to his head questions moral judgement.

Interprative
Robert van der Steeg
"Embraced by Words" , 2011
This photo is creative, as it has to be interpreted to find meaning. The woman is hugging the words to show her love for books or literature. The relationship between the woman and the words are interpreted.
